The University of St. Thomas, nominated by the Star Tribune as a Minnesota Top 100 Places to Work, invites applications for a Communications Specialist to support the School of Divinity.

The Communications Specialist is responsible for producing promotional and marketing materials for The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity.

Duties:

• Coordinate the development and production of all promotional materials and advertising; including copywriting responsibilities
• Direct the development and production of quarterly Oracle newsletter, and annual reports.
• Develop and oversee plan for website maintenance and ongoing enhancement, including blog and social media
• Provide work direction for communications student worker
• Serve as liaison to coordinate communication of SPS activities with St. John Vianney communications activities
• Coordinate seminarian column in Catholic Spirit with faculty and transitional deacons.
• Serve as SPSSOD production liaison to University Relations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field (preferred)
• Three to five years' experience in communications-related position
• Highly-developed journalistic and persuasive writing skills, including writing for the web
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
