I just love this kit by Meryl Bartho, The Brambles Kit Plus 01 because of its country charm and beautiful color palette. It reminds me of the berries we used to pick near this very cemetery when I was small and my parents would mow the cemetery grass. How fitting for this story about my ancestors! I also used one of Tina Chambers' word arts from the fabulous collection, Through Generations Word Art. Each and every one of the pieces in this kit is something that I could find a use for in my heritage pages. Journaling: Prime Real Estate Much of the Muthler/Dickey line of my family is buried in three cemeteries found within a few miles of each other. These photos show the family stones of the Dickeys and the Earons (my paternal grandmother?s family). Apparently, the story is that my rich Uncle Robert Dickey, Sarah?s brother-in-law, thought that her father was arrogant, and he decided to fix him by placing the Dickey family stone right in front of theirs, just so it could not be seen. |
