HipVoice Debuts Push-To-Talk Services for Motorola (Symbol) Mobile Computers
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 7, 2007
A leading provider of patented Push-To-Talk software for the enterprise mobility sector and the telecommunications industry, proudly announces the debut of HipVoice (http://www.HipVoice.com), a push-to-talk service that facilitates the exchange of Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) between ruggedized mobile computers. HipVoice was co-validated at Motorola?s Solutions Center, and the software is now Symbol +PLUS? Validated. The program, which will cost less than a traditional rugged walkie-talkie, allows clients to literally speak with one another on any Motorola (Symbol) mobile computer connected to Wi-Fi network.
Testing on Motorola?s Wi-Fi network infrastructure -- consisting of WS5100 wireless switch and AP300 access ports -- HipVoice was Symbol +PLUS Validated on the MC50 and MC70 enterprise digital assistants (EDA); MC3000, MC9000 and PPT 8800 mobile computers; MK2000 micro kiosk and VC5090 fixed/mobile computer.
?HipVoice represents the true spirit of convergence. The software is reliable, affordable and user-friendly for workers to instantly speak with colleagues on a Motorola mobile computer,? said Darius A. Gandhi, Co-Founder and VP of Business Development of HipVoice. ?HipVoice works with the mere push of button; all a person needs to do is click on the name of the individual they want to speak to, and the mobile computer connects the two users together in either hands-free, full- or half-duplex modes. The software is also cross-compatible with various operating systems, including Windows CE.NET 4.2, Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 and CE 5.0.?
?Thanks to Motorola?s platform approach and software development kits, we were able to quickly extend our development efforts across the mobile computing product line in only three days. Motorola?s Solution Center was a big help, by providing all the equipment we needed and engineering support to complete the process almost in real time,? Gandhi added.
?Motorola is pleased HipVoice completed Motorola?s Solutions Validation Program, co-validating its HipVoice software,? said Patrick McCullough, vice president and general manager of Motorola?s Solutions Division. ?Any Corner successfully tested and passed all determined criteria, ensuring a seamless integration between its HipVoice software and a broad set of Motorola hardware, including handheld and fixed/mount mobile computers and wireless network infrastructure.?
